Independent debt information · we are not a lender · some links earn us a commission

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 26 August 2026

This policy explains what DebtHaus.com, owned and operated by Cloudalien Technologies LLC ("we", "our", "us"), does with information about you.

The short version

We publish articles, and some of our links to other companies earn us a commission. We do not take applications or ask for financial details. We do not sell or share your personal information, and we never pass it to lenders, brokers or lead buyers. Being paid a commission does not involve giving anyone your data — see below for what a company learns when you click through to it.

What we collect

What you send us. If you write to us, we keep your name, email address and message so we can reply.

Automatically. Ordinary web records: IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, and when. We use analytics to understand which articles are read.

What we do not want. Please do not send us account numbers, Social Security numbers, or details of your debts. We have no use for them and no wish to hold them. Nothing on this site asks for them, and any page that appears to is not ours.

How we use it

To run and secure the site, to reply to you, to see which articles are worth writing more of, and to meet legal obligations. Where a lawful basis is required, ours are legitimate interest in operating the site, your consent where given, and legal obligation.

Who else sees it

Providers who host the site, serve its images, and deliver analytics and email, acting on our instructions. Nobody else, unless the law requires it.

When you click a link to another company

Where a link earns us a commission, it is tracked — so that the company can tell the visit came from us and pay accordingly. That tracking records the click, not you: typically a code identifying this site, stored by the destination or its affiliate network as a cookie in your browser.

We do not send them anything about you, because we do not have anything to send. What happens after you arrive is governed by their privacy policy, not this one, and it is worth reading before you give them your details. Blocking third-party cookies, or your browser's tracking protection, will usually stop this — and costs you nothing, since it only affects whether we get paid.

How long we keep it

Messages for as long as needed to deal with them and for our records, then deleted. Analytics in aggregate.

Your rights

Depending on where you live: to know what we hold, to get a copy, to correct it, to delete it, to limit use of sensitive information, to opt out of sale or sharing, and not to be treated differently for asking. In the EEA and UK, also to object, to portability, and to complain to your data protection authority.

We honor Global Privacy Control. If your browser sends a GPC signal we treat it as a valid opt-out.

Write to [email protected]. We verify a request against what we already hold before acting on it, and answer within the period the law allows.

Children

Not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

International

The site is operated from the United States and information is processed there.
