How DebtHaus makes money

The short version: our answers are editorial. Some partners pay us when you sign up through our links. You never pay more, and we never sell your details.

What pays us

A commission when you open an account through a link marked Paid link. That's the only way the site earns today.

What never pays us

Your information. No form here asks for income, balances or account numbers, and nothing you type into our calculators leaves your browser.

What money can't buy

A place in our guides, a better write-up, or a softer verdict from our calculators. The order things appear in is not for sale.

Free options we always show

Paying down directly, nonprofit credit counseling, disputing errors, and doing nothing. They pay us nothing; we show them anyway.

How to spot a paid link

Every paid link is marked where it appears, like this: a partner's namePaid link. A page with a paid link also says so under its byline, above the article.

What we don't do

  • We don't take applications, arrange loans, or pass anyone's details to lenders, brokers or lead buyers.
  • We don't work with debt settlement, credit repair or pay-per-call partners.
  • We don't accept payment for a review, a recommendation or a place in a comparison.
